While studying color photography at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Haya became fascinated with the unique results she could achieve by producing photograms using everyday organic objects. Photograms do not involve a camera or film, but use a process of light source, color filters and lenses to expose organic matter directly on to a color photography paper.
In her work, Haya uses a variety of fruits, vegetables, and flowers as her main subject matter.
